Ema do Espirito Santo (Gouveia) Brum

Ema doEsperito Santo (Gouveia) Brum, 98, passed away on October 25, 2018 at Waterview Villa Health Care Center.  She was the wife of the late Jose Brum.  

Born in Rabo de Peixe, St. Michael, she was the daughter of the late Henrique and Maria (DaPonte) Gouevia.  She is survived by her daughters Maria Mello, Ema Medeiros and her husband Eduino  and Maria Jose Almeida and her husband Manuel. She was grandmother of Edmund Mello, Christina Takian, Lisa Iacono, Steven Mello, Miguel Medeiros, Patricia Lum and Susan Costaand the late Kevin Almeida;  great-grandmother of Genavive Takian, Evan Takian, Ava Takian, Ema Mello, Brady Mello, Jake Iacono, Gavin Iacono, Milania Mello, Tessa Mello, Austin Lum, Brady Lum, Tylar Costa and Logeen Costa. She was the sister of Isaura Andrade and the late Maria Gloria Menezes as well mother in law of the late Edmund Mello. 

Mrs. Brum was educated in Portugal and employed by Carol Cable before retiring.

Her funeral services will be held Monday, October 29th from the George Lima Funeral Home 367 High Street with Calling Hours from 9:30 to 10:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 11 AM at St. Elizabeth’s Church 577 Wood Street. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
