Gary Benjamin Fillmore

Gary Benjamin Fillmore, 76, passed away on April 1, 2018 at the Rhode Island Veterans Home.

Born in Bristol, he was the son of the late Lloyd Chesley and Margaret Fillmore. He was the cousin of Harold Pedley, Wendy Krupa, Lorna Francis and the late Cheryl Bennett.

Mr. Fillmore was a graduate of Colt Memorial High School, Class of 1959, where he was a star member of the football team. He served in the Marines during the Vietnam War and then went on to graduate from Roger Williams University. Gary was an avid sailor who loved just being on boats and could be found in Bristol Harbor in his spare time. He was a native Bristolian, except for a brief tour of Texas for his CPA studies and possessed the gift of a good sense of humor.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service held in Gary's honor on Saturday, May 19th, 2 PM at the Rhode Island Veterans Home 480 Metacom Avenue.
