Isaias Arruda Leite

Isaias Arruda Leite, 70 of Oliver Street, passed away on June 24, 2019 at Rhode Island Hospital. 

Born in Sao Miguel and resided in Bristol for over 40 years.  He was the son of the late Manuel and Maria do Carmo Leite.  He is survived by his daughters Cristina Piscitello and her husband Joseph of North Andover, MA and Monica M. Strojny and her husband Michael of Cranston and grandchildren Evan Piscitello, Brayden Piscitello, Lucas Strojny and Owen Strojny.  He was the brother of Manuel Furtado, Jose Furtado, Edward Leite and Mario Leite.

Isaias worked as a landscaper, loved fishing and most recently his pride and joy was working with the community organization Bristol Blooms, where he watered and maintained flowering baskets in the beautiful downtown Bristol area.

His funeral services will be held Monday, July 1st, 8 AM from the George Lima Funeral Home 367 High Street with a Mass of Christian Burial, 9 AM at St. Elizabeth’s Church 577 Wood Street. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
