Karen Ann Ramos, 40, of Providence, formerly of Bristol, passed away surrounded by loving family at Rhode Island Hospital on October 25th. She was the daughter of Maria (Carreiro) and Joseph M. Ramos of Bristol.
She leaves behind her siblings, Linda Ramos, Marie Coccio (David), Laurie Heyden, Deborah Ash (Jeff), Paul Ramos (Kristen), Jennifer Galluzzi (David), Joseph Ramos (Brooke), Julie Horn (Austin), Diane Ramos, and Mark Ramos (Nadine). She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.
Karen was a graduate of Mt. Hope High School and Community College of Rhode Island, with a degree in Fashion Merchandising. She had been employed in retail and worked for the Filene’s Corporation for several years.
Karen was a gentle woman with a strong faith in God. She was a lector at St. Anthony's Church in Pawtucket, RI and also a parishioner of the Holy Name Catholic Church in Providence. Karen’s passions included prayer, reading, arts and crafts and oil painting. She was a lover of cats and nature. She enjoyed visits to La Salette Shrine. Karen had a fun spirit and was adored and loved by all who knew her.
Her funeral services were private.
