Liberdade "Libby" Hipolito Obituary

Liberdade “Libby” (Silva) Hipolito, 96, passed away on March 2, 2019 at Silver Creek Manor.  She was the wife of the late Arthur Hipolito.

Born in Guada, Portugal, she was the daughter of the late Jose and Amelia (Gomes) DaSilva. She is survived by her daughter Marie Mello of Bristol; grandchildren Michael Mello, Michelle Ellsworth, Jennifer Mello-Brinza and great grandchildren Meagan Ellsworth, Alec Ellsworth, Haley Ellsworth, Adam Ellsworth, Jessica Mello, Callie Brinza and Owen Brinza.  She was the sister of Dulce Ribeiro, Amelia Blouin and the late Antonio Silva, Fernando Silva, Lidia Pires and Sr. Adelaide Silva.

Libby was educated in Portugal and employed as a dressmaker for Well Made Dress, M & R Sportswear  before retiring.She was a talented knitter and many family or friends were grateful for her generosity.

Family and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial, Wednesday, March 13th, 11 AM at St. Elizabeth’s Church 577 Wood Street. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers donations to:  Silver Creek Manor Activities Fund, 7 Creek Lane Bristol, RI  02809, or Beacon Hospice 1 Catamore Blvd. East Providence, RI 02914.
