Maria daConceicao (Vieira) DoCouto

Maria daConceicao (Vieira) DoCouto, 87, of Deerfield Beach, Florida and formerly of Bristol, passed away on July 13, 2018 at Willow Bay Senior Resort.  She was the wife of the late Jose “Zeca” Couto.  

Born in Ribeira Quente, St. Michael, Azores, she was the daughter of the late Carlos Peixoto and Germana Vieira.  She is survived by her daughters Mary Lou Couto and her husband Jose, Dolores Torres and her husband Antonio; grandchildren Catherine Ryan, Michael Torres, Christina Torres and great granddaughter Cayla Ryan.  She was the sister of Norbina Arruda, Liduina Medeiros and the late Carlos Vieira.

Mrs. DoCouto was educated in Portugal and employed by Converse for 20 years before retiring.

Her funeral services will be held Thursday, July 19th, 10 AM from the George Lima Funeral Home 367 High Street with a Mass of Christian Burial, 11 AM at St. Elizabeth’s Church 577 Wood Street. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
