Maria "Mary" Jose (Ferreira) Carreiro

Maria “Mary” Jose (Ferreira) Carreiro, 86, of Academy Avenue, passed away on September 2, 2018.  She was the wife of Arthur Duarte Carreiro.  

Born in Pico da Pedra, St. Michael, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Maria (Torres) Ferreira. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter Lucie Kenyon and her husband Steven; grandsons Jeffrey Kenyon and his wife Nicole, Timothy Kenyon and his wife Colleen and great grandchildren Mason Kenyon and Isla Kenyon.

Mrs. Carreiro was educated in Portugal and employed by Converse before retiring.

Calling hours are Thursday, September 6th, 9 – 10:30 AM at the George Lima Funeral Home 367 High Street followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 11 AM at St. Elizabeth’s Church 577 Wood Street. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
