Norbert Richard Costa

Norbert Richard Costa, 92, of Metacom Avenue passed away on April 8, 2018 at Crestwood Nursing Center. He was the husband of Josephine (Goulart) Costa.

Born in Bristol, he was the son of the late Antonio and Maria (Medeiros) Costa. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter Cynthia Cadile and her husband Jerry; grandchildren Kristen Cadile Borgia and her husband Joseph, Corey Cadile and his fiancAC.e Valerie Gonzalez and great grandchildren Allie, Jillian and Hailey Borgia. He was brother of the late Joseph Costa and Daniel Costa.

Mr. Costa was a graduate of Colt Memorial High School and served as a Platoon Sergeant in the US Army during World War II. He then worked for Kaiser Aluminum for 44 years before retiring. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, reading and taking walks through Bristol. Mr. Costa was a member of both the Bristol and Windmill Hill Golf Clubs as well as the VFW Anthony C. Almeida Post #237 and the American Legion Kearney Post #6.

His funeral services will be held Saturday, April14th, 8 AM from the George Lima Funeral Home 367 High Street with a Mass of Christian Burial, 9 AM at St. Elizabeth's Church 577 Wood Street. Burial will follow in North Burial Ground.

Calling hours are Friday 4 - 7 PM.
