Albert Gilbert Costa, 90, of Greylock Road passed away on January 5, 2021 at the Grace Barker Health Center. He was the husband of Anna (Lombardi) Costa.
Born in Bristol, he was the son of the late Joseph and Julia (Melo) Costa. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Cheryl Lagor and her husband Donald; Debra Jackson and her husband Hugh; Alan Costa and his wife Marianne; and Gregory Costa. He was the grandfather of Jeremy Lagor, Mikaela Lagor, Clinton Lagor, Joy Richardson, Hugh Jackson Jr, Bridgette Biello, Bradley Costa, Lola Costa, Charlie Costa and great grandchildren Molly Richardson, Katie Richardson, Tyler Jackson, Sedona Jackson, Harper Jackson, Christopher Biello, Bella Mazzuchelli, Max Lagor, Reese Flamand and Caden Lagor. He was the brother of the late Joseph Costa, Edward Costa, Louis Costa, Alfred Costa, Emma Desmaris, Julia Ferreira, and Dorothy Riddling.
Albert was educated in Bristol and employed by Converse and Bristol Manufacturing before retiring. The most important thing in his life was his family. He loved his home on Greylock Road where the family would gather on holidays and enjoyed hosting big cookouts throughout the summer especially for the 4th of July. Albert was known for his homemade pizza that the family came together on weekends to enjoy. He regularly attended services at St. Mary’s Church and loved camping and being outdoors.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, Friday, January 15th, 10 AM at St. Mary’s Church, 330 Wood Street. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
