Alda J. Almeida

Alda J. Almeida, 95, of Hope Street, a lifelong resident of Bristol, passed away peacefully at her home on April 23, 2022.  

Born in Bristol, she was the daughter of the late Frederico and Maria C. (Duarte) Almeida.  Alda was predeceased by her sister Mary S. Almeida. She was eternally grateful for her cousin Joaquim M. Santos and his wife Janet, as well as the team of caregivers who attended to her daily needs for the past 9 years. 

Miss Almeida was a graduate of Colt Memorial High School and employed by Kaiser Aluminum before retiring. Over many decades, dignitaries, military leaders and clergy graced the Almeida family dining room where all were treated as family.

Calling hours will be held Monday, May 9th from 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM at the George Lima Funeral Home, 367 High Street with a Mass of Christian Burial, 11 AM at St. Elizabeth’s Church, 577 Wood Street. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: St. Elizabeth’s Church.
