Alfredo DeAndrade, 73, of Shaws Lane passed away surrounded by his family around him on May 8, 2020 at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the husband of Maria deLurdes (Correia) Andrade.
Born in Villa Franco do Campo, St. Michael, Azores, he was the son of the late Jose Medeiros and Maria deLurdes deAndrade. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children Fatima Milhomens and her husband Joe, David Andrade, Kevin Andrade and his wife Melissa; daughter in law Kristen Andrade and grandchildren Katrina Milhomens, Alexander Milhomens, Leah Andrade, Cameron Andrade and Douglas Andrade. He was the father of the late Michael Andrade and brother of the late Armenio Andrade and Arturo Andrade.
Mr. DeAndrade was educated in Portugal. He served in the Portuguese Army and was employed by Mt. Hope Builders for 22 years before retiring. Loved by many, he was a loving and proud husband, father, grandfather and was especially close to his disabled son David. He was a lover of music, marching bands and enjoyed attending the feasts at St. Elizabeth's Church.
His funeral services will be held Wednesday May 13th at the George Lima Funeral Home from 9-10:30 AM followed by a graveside service at 11 AM in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Social distancing guidelines will be followed and enforced.
