Ambrosina C. Ferreira, 72, of Peckham Place, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2023, at home surrounded by her loving family.  She was the wife of the late João Luis Ferreira.  

Born in Cabouco, Da Lagoa, São Miguel, she was the daughter of the late Joaquim and Teresa Medeiros.  She is survived by her children, Charles (Stephanie) Ferreira and Jessica Ferreira; and grandchildren, Dawson Ferreira, Jacob Ferreira, Kinley Ferreira, Alex Ferreira, and Lucas Ferreira.  She was the sister of Carlos Medeiros, Norberto Medeiros, João Medeiros, and Donaria Amaral and is also survived by many nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews

Mrs. Ferreira was educated in Portugal and employed as a CNA for Desilets Nursing Home in Warren for many years before retiring.  Ambrosina was a faithful participant of the Romanias, and was a former member of the Santissima Trinidade and the Don Luiz Filipe Association. She loved baking, cooking, crocheting, crafts, and spending time with her family.

Her funeral services will be held Monday, March 13th,  9 AM from the George Lima Funeral Home, 367 High Street with a Mass of Christian Burial, 11 AM at St. Elizabeth’s Church, 577 Wood Street. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
