Angelina C. Medeiros

Angelina C. Medeiros, 82, of Leila Jean Drive, passed away on May 15, 2026, at Rhode Island Hospital. She was the wife of the late Luis F. Medeiros.

Born in Agua de Pau, St. Michael, Azores, she was the daughter of the late Jose and Maria Isabel (Cabral) Ponte. She is survived by her sons: Lawrence (Maria Susana) Medeiros of Westport, MA, and Luis (Stacy) Medeiros, Jr. of Bristol; grandchildren: Lucas, Ariana, Myah, and Liam; and siblings: Maria do Carmo Medeiros of North Dartmouth, MA, Jose C. Ponte of New Bedford, MA, and Gloria Ferreira of New Bedford, MA.

Mrs. Medeiros was educated in Portugal. She was employed by American Tourister for over 20 years followed by Atria Aquidneck Place Assisted Living for 10 years before her retirement.

She loved to cook for her family. She was a warm, welcoming presence in her community.

Deeply devoted to her church, her faith was a guiding force in her life. Her grandchildren were the center of her world, and she was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Known for her sharp wit and playful sarcasm, she spoke her mind with honesty and humor. She cherished outings with family and friends, sharing laughter, coffee, and stories. She was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.

Her funeral services will be held on Friday, May 22, 8:30 – 9:30 AM from the George C. Lima Funeral Home, 367 High Street, with a Mass of Christian Burial, 10AM at St. Elizabeth’s Church, 577 Wood Street. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
