Anthony Medeiros

Anthony “Tony” Medeiros, 75, of High Street, passed away on September 10, 2026, at home.

Born in St. Michael, Azores, Portugal, he was the son of the late Antonio P. and Maria A. (Ferreira) Medeiros. He is survived by many cousins.

Anthony was a 1971 graduate of Bristol High School. Soon after graduating, he joined the US Navy where he served a two-year term. Upon returning home, Anthony worked for a short time at Converse in Bristol, RI before becoming employed by the Brayton Point Power Plant in Somerset, MA, where he worked for more than 30 years before retiring. In his early adulthood, Anthony enjoyed playing bass guitar and performing with his friends as part of a band. He also enjoyed spending time with his extended family.

His funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 8:30 – 9:30 AM from the George C. Lima Funeral Home, 367 High Street, with a Mass of Christian Burial, 10 AM at St. Elizabeth’s Church, 577 Wood Street. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
