Antonio Estrella Mendonca

Antonio Estrella Mendonca, 83 of Bristol passed away on October 9, 2022 at home.  He was the husband of the late Maria Jose (Vieira) Mendonca.

He was the father of Antonio (Lorrie) Mendonca, Maria (the late Brian) St. Onge, Victor (the late Sandra Slocum) Mendonca, Rosa Mendonca, Anabela (Kenneth Battersby) Mendonca and grandfather of Corey Mendonca, Sabrina Mendonca, Tiffany St. Onge, Daniel St. Onge, Victoria St. Onge, Troy St. Onge, Nicholas Mendonca, Nathaniel Mendonca, Benjamin Mendonca and Samantha Mendonca.  He was the brother of Victor Mendonca, Laura Medeiros and the late Manuel Mendonca and Jose Mendonca.

Mr. Mendonca was educated in Portugal and employed as a cabinet maker by Pearson Yachts for 30 years before retiring.  He was a member of Banda Filarmonica de Santa Isabel, the Lincoln Club and the Don Luiz Filipe Association.

Calling hours will be held Saturday, October 15th , 8:30 – 10:30 AM  at the George Lima Funeral Home, 367 High Street with a Mass of Christian Burial, 11 AM at St. Elizabeth’s Church, 577 Wood Street. Burial will follow in North Burial Ground.
