Antonio Nunez Obituary

Antonio N. Nunez, 86, of Easterbrooks Avenue, passed away on September 21, 2023, at The Miriam Hospital.  He was the husband of the late Albertina (De Sousa) Nunez.  


Born in Barranquitas, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Casamito and Juanita (Nunez) Santiago. He is survived by his children Joanne Nunez of Bristol, Antonio (Brenda) Nunez of Dighton MA, and Rose (John) Cobb of Bristol; grandchildren Victoria Nunez, Candice Casey, and Tyler Cobb; great grandchildren Roman William Casey and Raven Rose Casey; and his brothers and sisters in Puerto Rico.


Mr. Nunez was educated in Puerto Rico and employed by Dyer Boats for 35 years and the Herreshoff Marine Museum for 33 years before retiring.


His funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 27th, 10 AM from the George Lima Funeral Home, 367 High Street with a Mass of Christian Burial, 11 AM at St. Elizabeth’s Church, 577 Wood Street. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
