Arcelino Cabral Obituary

Arcelino Cabral, 91, of Sousa Street, passed away on April 27, 2026, at Dawn Hill Nursing & Rehabilitation. He was the husband of the late Dorvalina (Branco) Cabral.


Born in Rabo de Peixe, St. Michael, Azores, he was the son of the late Francisco and Elvira Cabral. He is survived by his children: Lucia (Howard) Allen of Westport, MA, Francisco (Paula) Cabral of Warren, Jacinta Cabral of Bristol, Fatima (Frank) Moreau of Somerset, MA, and Gilbert (Cheryl) Cabral of Bristol; grandchildren: Taylor, Chantal, Luke, Brooke, Atarah, Carissa, Alliyah, Sophia, Isaac, Tiffany, and Joshua; and seventeen great-grandchildren.


He was predeceased by his siblings: Maria R. Faria, Joseph Cabral, Horace Cabral, and Jil Cabral.


Mr. Cabral was first educated in Portugal before attending Guiteras School in Bristol. He then enrolled in the United States National Guard. Mr. Cabral was a self-employed contractor for building construction. He founded two companies, Professional Builders & Contractors in 1968 and K & A Realty, Inc. in 1977, both of which are still presently operating.


His funeral services will be held on Monay, May 4, 8:30 – 9:30 AM from the George C. Lima Funeral Home, 367 High Street, with a Mass of Christian Burial, 10 AM at St. Elizabeth’s Church, 577 Wood Street. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
