Augustine Ferreira, Sr., 94, of 1 Dawn Hill Road, Bristol, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2025, with his loving wife by his side.

He was the loving husband of Theresa Ferreira. Born in Fall River, MA, he was the son of the late Manuel and Severina Ferreira.

He was preceded in death by his siblings: Manuel, James, John, Joseph, Peter, Mary, Alice, Louise, and Dennis.

Known as “Augie”, he was father to: Donna (Ferreira) Canario and her husband Manny, Augustine Ferreira Jr. (Butch) and his companion Valerie, Lisa (Ferreira) Dupont and her husband Tony, Timothy Gardiner and his wife Lori, And William Gardiner and his wife Shelly.

He is survived by his grandchildren: Ian, Timothy, Jared, Paige, Devin, Jaclyn, Craig, Tracy, Shannon, Nathan, Billy; and several great grandchildren.

Augie owned & operated Bristol County Plumbing & Heating Inc. in Bristol for many years and was also the Plumbing & Mechanical inspector for the Town of Bristol. Augie was also a Past Exalted Ruler of the Bristol County Elks Lodge BPOE1860. Augie enjoyed family gatherings, playing various musical instruments and making clam boils for his family & friends.

Friends and family are invited to attend funeral services on Tuesday, April 15, 8:30 – 10:30 AM from the George C. Lima Funeral Home, 367 High Street, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 11 AM at St. Elizabeth’s Church, 577 Wood Street.
