Aurelio J. Da Silveira, 80, of Bayview Avenue, passed away on July 20, 2023, peacefully at home.  He was the husband of Maria da Conceicao Silveira.

Born in Terceira, Azores, he was the son of the late Jose and Alvarina (Leal) Da Silveira. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Emanuel Silveira of Warren, Aurelia (Joseph Paul Jr.) Drolet, Aurelio Silveira, João Silveira, and Joshua (Tracey Marie) Silveira; grandchildren: Veronica, Alison, Meranda, Jacden, Angelica, Julianne, Thomas, Brandon, Kimberly, Zackery, Kaitlyn, João, Martin, and Kevin; and great grandchildren Lacey, Jaxen, Charlie, Autumn, Ainsley, Sage, Willow and Luca. He was the brother of Vivelinda Silveira, Jorge Silveira, Maria Alvarina Silveira, Maria da Lourdes Silveira, Francisco Silveira, and the late João Silveira.

Aurelio was born and raised in Porto Judeu, Terceira and spent the first half of his life as a commercial fisherman. In the eighties he moved to the United States with his family and made a career in drywall and construction for many years before retiring.

His funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 26th, 9:30-10:30 AM from the George Lima Funeral Home, 367 High Street with a Mass of Christian Burial, 11 AM at St. Elizabeth’s Church, 577 Wood Street. Burial will follow in North Burial Ground.
