Barbara Ann (LaGrange) Almeida, 76, of Warren, passed away on January 12, 2025, at Warren Skilled Nursing Center. 

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of Irene Barbosa LaGrange. She is survived by her son, Manuel Joseph Almeida Jr. and his wife, Dawn Almeida, and daughter Karen Goyette and her husband, Robert Goyette; and grandchildren Jo-Anna Almeida, Joshua Almeida, Sonni Almeida, Manuel Almeida, Michael Almeida, Tyler Almeida, Alexandra Goyette, Colton Goyette, Kenneth Almeida Jr., and Justin Almeida. Barbara was the sister of Roger LaGrange of Cranston, and Kenneth LaGrange of Warren. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews and great grandchildren, as well as the Warren Center staff that have become family during her stay there - lovingly referring to her favorites as “the golden girls”.

She was predeceased by her husband, Manuel Almeida, and sons Kenneth Almeida and Jesse Almeida. She worked at Converse Manufacturing of Bristol for many years before working alongside her husband at Almeida Auctions as the bookkeeper. She was an avid sewer, most memorably making handmade quilts for her great grandchildren. She will be remembered for her witty sense of humor, often quick with clever comebacks that would leave you speechless and full of laughter. She will be missed by all. 

Her funeral services will be held on Monday, January 20, 9 - 10:30 AM from the George C. Lima Funeral Home, 367 High Street, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11 AM from St. Elizabeth’s Church, 577 Wood Street. Burial and family gatherings will be held in private the following day.
