Belmira (Andrade) Machado

Belmira (Andrade) Machado, 93  of St. Elizabeth Street passed away on December 11, 2020 at Crestwood Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Mariano T. Machado.  

Born in Rabo de Peixe, St. Michael. Azores, she was the daughter of the late Jose Pacheco Andrade and Maria Ascencao (Pimentel) Andrade.  She is survived by her children: Maria Filomena Germano and her husband Joao; Laudalina Cabral and her husband Fernando; Adelino Machado and his wife Maria Pappas;  grandchildren:  Liza Olson, Melissa Silva, Amanda Sousa, Kimberly Messa, Kevin Cabral, Jennifer Cabral, Bryan Machado, Alexander Corey; and great grandchildren: Sarina Olson, Kelsey Olson, Brianna Silva, Ryan Silva, Emily Silva, Logan Sousa, Milani Sousa, Cristiano Messa, Nathan Cabral, Connor Cabral, Jason Cabral, Brynnlee Machado. She was the mother of the late Jose Jorge Machado: grandmother of the late Justin Machado and sister of the late Edaline Couto and Teresa Andrade.

Mrs. Machado was educated in Portugal and employed as a machine operator for Robin Rug for 10 years before retiring.   

Family and friends are invited to attend a  Mass of Christian Burial, Tuesday, December 15th, 11 AM at St. Elizabeth Church 577 Wood Street. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
