Carlos K. Rey, 36, of Chicago, IL, passed away on June 10, 2023. He was the husband of Jeffrey Wescott.
Born in Cúcuta, Colombia, he was the son of Beatrice Rey. In addition to his husband and mother, he is survived by his brother Eduardo Rey of Bogota, Colombia; sisters-in-law Pam (John) Pollock, Lauren (Kirk) Porter; brother-in-law Phil (Lyne) Wescott; and nephews Brie, Katy, Justin, Jordan, Jason, Jeremy, Rob, Josh, and Tye.
Carlos was employed as a training manager for eBay and other international call centers for 10 years, which brought him to travel to the Philippines and the United States and ignited a love for international travel, including Spain, Italy, Germany, and France. Earlier in his career, Carlos operated a family restaurant with his family in Bogota. Jeff and Carlos had planned to move to Barcelona in the fall.
