Carol Houk

Carol Ann Houk, 68, of Portsmouth, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2024, at Charlton Memorial Hospital.

Carol was born on September 20th, 1955, in Fall River, MA to the late Joseph and Lucy (Christo) Morris. She was a longtime resident of Portsmouth, Rhode Island.

She was a 1973 graduate of Warren High School and married Dennis G. Houk in 1986. She worked in accounting for several companies, and as an executive secretary for Sprague Metal Box for 10 years before raising her family. Carol loved to read and travel, and she enjoyed being with family for special occasions.

In addition to her husband, Carol is survived by: her children Raymond (Kellen) Houk of Middletown, James (Keri) Houk of Norton MA, Erica (Terry) Nadeau of Westport MA, and Denise Leach of Tiverton; grandchildren Madison Houk, Aaron Sisson, Zoey Houk, Katelyn Nadeau, and Matthew Leach; and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of Joseph Morris of Warren, Marion (George) Caisse of Bristol, and Rudy (Pauline) Souza of Warren.

Friends and family are invited to attend calling hours on Friday, March 29th, 5 – 8 PM from the George C. Lima Funeral Home, 367 High Street, Bristol, RI. Burial will follow on Saturday, March 30th, 10 AM at Acushnet Cemetery, 91 Main Street, Acushnet, MA 02743.
