Claire A. Travers

Claire A. (Maetozo) Travers, 92, of Bristol, passed away on September 23, 2025, at Newport Hospital. She was the wife of the late George R. Travers.

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Matthew G. and Mary E. (Francis) Maetozo. She is survived by her children: Sharon (James) Araujo of Bristol, Richard (Lori) Travers of Warren, and Beverly (Bert) Sousa of New Hampshire; grandchildren: Mark Araujo, Matthew Travers(Alissa), Josh Travers(Kelsey), Bert Sousa(Jacqueline), and Gregory Sousa(Kristin), and Benjamin Travers; and great-grandchildren: Jacob Araujo, Ashley Araujo, Oliver Travers, Simon Travers, Paige Sirois, Daylen Sousa, Jayda Sousa, Gabby Sousa, Lexi Sousa, and Evie Sousa.

She was predeceased by her siblings: Matthew Maetozo, Beverly Toste, and Jane Madden.

Claire attended Bristol schools. She was employed by Raytheon for 20 years before retiring.
