Cristal I. Franco, 39, of Sweeney Lane, passed away unexpectedly on May 18, 2024, at Rhode Island Hospital. 

Born in Providence, RI, she was the daughter of Jose and Maria Fatima (DaSilva) Franco.  In addition to her parents, she is survived by: her son Cole J. Franco of Bristol; her sister Helen (Franco) Dias of Warren; goddaughter Cecilia Dias of Bristol; nephew Luke Dias of Bristol; many aunts, uncles, cousins; Michelle Goodenough, and many other beloved friends.

Cristal was predeceased by both her paternal and maternal grandparents; aunt Ana I. Savinon; uncle Alcedes Franco; and her best friend Crystal Rainey.

She was a graduate of Mount Hope High School and attended the University of Rhode Island for two years. She was previously employed by Life Inc. for 10 years and most recently employed by Reliable Pest Control for 10 years. Cristal was an active and supportive wrestling and football mom.

Her funeral services will be held Friday, May 24th, 10AM from the George C. Lima Funeral Home, 367 High Street, with a Mass of Christian Burial, 11 AM at St. Elizabeth’s Church, 577 Wood Street. Burial will follow in North Burial Ground.
