Dana M. Sheedy, 61, of Warren, passed away on December 24, 2023, at HopeHealth Hospice & Palliative Care Center in Providence.  She was the wife of John Sheedy for 42 years.

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of Mary (Bragantin) Barbour and the late Clifton E. Barbour Sr. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons:  Michael (Lori) Sheedy of Bristol, and Aaron Sheedy and his fiancé Jennifer Quental of Swansea, MA; grandchildren Ayden Sheedy, Logan Sheedy, Carter Sheedy, and Noraa Sheedy; sister Vicky Barbour of Bristol; sister-in-law Marsha (Greg) Beifuss, and brother-in-law Jim (Pattie) Sheedy; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and many cousins.

In addition to her father, she was predeceased by her brother, Clifton E. Barbour Jr.

Dana was a 1980 graduate of Bristol High School and for the past 18 years, a valued employee of East Bay Community Development Corp, currently as Property Manager. Dana’s smile was contagious, providing comfort, support, and smiles to residents and her work family.

Dana was involved in many different charities. She was an organizer of the Bristol Car Show for many years, bringing her 1982 El Camino, handed down to her from her father. Dana’s hobbies included knitting, crocheting, woodworking, gardening, and yard work. She loved animals and spent numerous hours and days with her grandchildren, watching them grow up. She enjoyed taking many trips with her girlfriends to New Hampshire.

Friends and family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, January 6th, 11 AM at St. Elizbeth’s Church, 577 Wood Street, Bristol, RI.
