David De Medeiros Coroa

David M. Coroa, 79, of Jenny Lane passed away on January 7, 2023 at Newport Hospital with his family by his side. He was the husband of Maria Eduarda (Pacheco) Coroa.

Born in Rebeiro Seca, de Rebeiro Grande, São Miguel, Azores, he was the son of the late Augusto and Diamantina (da Conceicao) Coroa. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children Donna (David) Wilson and Gary (Rebecca) Coroa; grandchildren Jesse Wilson, Emma Wilson, Tara Coroa, Trey Coroa, and Tori Coroa; great grandchildren Taelyn Coroa, and Kyle Perry. He was the brother of Augusto Coroa and the late  Adelino Coroa, Conceicao Coroa, Eduardo Coroa,  Gabriel  Coroa,  Januario Coroa, Jose Coroa.

Mr. Coroa was educated in Portugal and was the owner of D & C Marine Boat Builders for 20 years before retiring. One of David’s biggest accomplishments was being a great husband, father and grandfather. David loved spending time in his kitchen creating delicious meals and desserts for his family and friends. David was a kind and spiritual loving man whose faith was bigger than this world. His funeral services will be held Friday January 13th, 10 AM from the George Lima Funeral Home, 367 High Street with a Mass of Christian Burial, 11 AM at St. Elizabeth’s Church, 577 Wood Street. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
