Dorvalina Correia (Branco) Cabral, 86, of Sousa Street passed away on May 18, 2021 at home. She was the wife of Arcelino Cabral and the former wife of the late Joaquim Reis Cabral.
Born in Lagoa, St. Michael, Azores, Portugal, she was daughter of the late Guilherme Correia Branco and Jacinta de Jesus (Rego) Branco.
She was the mother of Cynthia Cabral and Elizabeth Cabral and grandmother of Chloe Jordan. She is also survived by her stepchildren Lucia Allen, Jacinta Cabral, Francisco Cabral, Fatima Moreau and Gilbert Cabral and 11 step-grandchildren. She was the sister of Joseph Branco, Louis Branco, Mary Santo Cristo da Silva and the late Theresa LaBrier.
Mrs. Cabral was educated in Portugal and employed as a seamstress for Priscilla Sportswear and I. Shalom before retiring. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth’s Church and a volunteer at the Holy Ghost Feast for many years.
Calling hours are Monday, May 24th, 9 – 10:30 AM at the George Lima Funeral Home 367 High Street with a Mass of Christian Burial, 11 AM at St. Elizabeth’s Church 577 Wood Street. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
