Elba M. (Pacheco) Santos, 87, of State Street, passed away on June 22, 2023, at Silver Creek Rehab & Nursing. She was the wife of Edmund Santos.
Born in Ponta Delgada, São Miguel, Azores, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Maria Jose (Pimentel) Pacheco. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children Edmund Santos Jr. of Warren, Nancy (Gregory) Alves of Swansea, and Robert Santos of Bristol; grandchildren Deven Paige Medeiros, Tyler Medeiros, Alex Santos, Jessica Alves, and Tyler Alves; and great grandchildren Sophia Margaret Medeiros, John King Medeiros, and Easton Joseph Santos. She was the sister of Bertha Afonso, Antonio Pacheco, Eduarda Coroa, Connie Pacheco, Manuel Pacheco, Mary Jo DeOliveira, Fatima Dias, Luis Pacheco, and the late Carlos Pacheco.
Mrs. Santos was educated in Portugal and employed by Well Made Dress Company for 32 years before retiring. She was a Communicant of St. Elizabeth’s Church. She was an avid gardener and well known for her cooking and baking. Mrs. Santos truly adored her family and friends.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday, June 27th, 8:30–10:30AM from the George Lima Funeral Home, 367 High Street with a Mass of Christian Burial, 11AM at St. Elizabeth’s Church, 577 Wood Street. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
