Elizabeth Burns (Lopes) was born on September 25, 1941, and passed away at the age of 83 on September 30, 2024, in Florida.

Elizabeth “Beth” was born and raised in Bristol, RI. Beth was a longtime hairdresser and owner of the Hair Pin Salon in Warren, RI. She was involved in many local activities such as the RI Matadors Drum Corps, the Red Hat Society, Mary Kay Cosmetics and served as an activities director when she lived at Benjamin Church Manor. She enjoyed spending time in Florida, where she eventually moved to. Beth loved to socialize, share stories, garden, and enjoyed spending time with her family.

Those who knew Beth will never forget her smile or the way she made you feel whether it was sitting with her at family get togethers, marching beside her, running into her in town or being lucky enough to call her family.

Beth was predeceased by: her loving husband Joseph “Jack” Lopes Jr; her second husband Robert “Bobby” Burns; and her sisters Eileen and Leonora.

She is survived by: her brother Gil Costa; her two sons and their wives: Dean and Candace Lopes, and Jason and Susan Lopes; her four grandchildren: Abigail, Amanda, Jackson and Jacob Lopes; and her many cousins, nieces, and nephews, all whom she loved deeply.
