Ethel (Barboza) Marshall, 89 of Hope Street passed away on January 3, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Manor. She was the wife of Robert M. Marshall.
Born in Bristol, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Maria (Enos) Barboza. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children: Bob Marshall and his wife Ann of Providence; Thomas Marshall and his wife Debbie of Bristol; David Marshall of East Providence; Gary Marshall and his wife Lisa of Bristol; grandchildren: John Marshall, Kit Marshall, Katie Marshall, Gary Marshall, Gregory Marshall, Bethany Marshall and great grandchildren Eliott Marshall and Aubrey Pimental. She was the sister of the late Genevieve Rodrigues, Angie Saucy, Betty Cavara, Mae Zinni, Adeline Travers and Peter Barboza.
Mrs. Marshall was a graduate of Warren High School and employed by the Bristol School Department as a teacher's aide for 23 years before retiring. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth’s Church and a member of the Holy Rosary Sodality. She was also active with many special needs organizations including the Special Olympics.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, Wednesday, January 13th, 11 AM at St. Elizabeth’s Church 577 Wood Street. Burial will be private.
