Evangelina “Angie” (Andrade) Martin, 82 formerly of Bristol passed away peacefully with her family by her side on December 20, 2022 at the Genesis Warren Center.  

Angie was a lifelong Bristolian and married to her loving husband, Herman Martin, for 65 blissful years. She was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Soares) Andrade.

Angie was a graduate of Colt Memorial High School, the RI School of Nursing and received a Bachelor's Degree from Roger Williams University.  She was employed as a Registered Nurse (RN) at the Crestwood Nursing Home for 20 years followed by employment at Roger Williams University, then worked with her husband at Bristol Auto Supply. Angie was a dedicated parishioner of St Elizabeth's Church.

Angie enjoyed cooking for her family and entertaining on the holidays, especially on 4th of July. Angie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Herman Martin Jr. (Pam), Lori Ann Gardiner (Timothy), Steven Martin (Laurie); grandchildren: Ashley Diaz (Daniel), Aaron Martin (Erika), Aftayn Santoyo (Macee), Paige Benevides (Joseph), Devin Arsenault (Chris), Timothy Gardiner Jr. (Kim), Jared Gardiner, Samantha Martin, Jenna Martin; great-grandmother: Roman Diaz, Gabriel Diaz, Daniel Diaz Jr., Dayne Diaz, Seth Diaz, Bristol Diaz, James Farias, Aaron Martin Jr., Ella Benevides, Bradley Arsenault, Joseph Benevides Jr., Ethan Gardiner and Jacob Gardiner. She was the sister of John Andrade Jr.  

Angie was preceded in death by her grandson Austin Martin and her great grandson Chancellor Diaz.

Wake is private. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Burial, Friday, December 30th at 9 AM at St. Elizabeth’s Church, 577 Wood St, Bristol. Burial will follow St. Mary’s Cemetery, Chestnut St. Bristol.

In lieu of flowers, Angie would appreciate Memorial Donations, made in her honor, to the Warren Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation.
