Fernando DaSilva Barbosa

Fernando DaSilva Barbosa, 93, passed away on April 10, 2022 at the Silver Creek Rehab & Healthcare Center.  He was the husband of Maria Jose DeMedeiros (Barbosa) Barbosa.  

Born in Ponta Delgada, St. Michael Azores, he was the son of the late Manuel and Jorgina Da Silva Barbosa.  In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons:  Manuel Barbosa and his wife Maryann; John Barbosa and his wife Stephenie; and grandchildren: Tyler Barbosa, Austin Barbosa, Raelynn Barbosa and Antonio Feroce Jr.  He was the brother of the late Manuel DaSilva Barbosa and Carlos DaSilva Barbosa.

Mr. Barbosa was educated in Portugal and employed by Royal Electric before retiring.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday, April 13th 9:30 – 10:30 AM at the George Lima Funeral Home, 367 High Street with a Mass of Christian Burial, 11 AM at St. Elizabeth’s Church, 577 Wood Street. Burial will follow in North Burial Ground.
