Gail E. (Oliver) Faraone, 76, of Tupelo Street, passed away on March 20, 2025, at Rhode Island Hospital. She was the wife of the late Joseph T. Faraone, her beloved husband of almost 50 years.
Born in Fall River, MA, she was the daughter of Olga (Viera) Oliver and the late George Oliver. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her children: Kristin (Trexler) Faraone of Bristol, Amy Faraone of Attleboro, MA, and Seth Faraone of Bristol; grandchildren: Michael J. Trexler and Molly E. Trexler; nieces and nephews: Lauren Farnsworth, Aaron Arcello, Andrew Arcello, and Sara Sleeper; 6 grand-nieces and grand-nephews; sisters: Joyce Oliver of Jamestown, Jane (Don) Farnsworth of Bristol, and Beth (Steve) Arcello of Bristol; sister-in-law Rena (Ron) (Faraone) Salvas; and her best friend: Linda Levesque of Bristol.
Gail attended St. Elizabeth’s School in Bristol and graduated from Colt Memorial High School. She was employed by the Bristol-Warren School Department as a secretary for 30 years until her retirement in 2007. There she built many strong friendships that lasted a lifetime, leaving behind a legacy of loyalty and dedication.
She died on the first day of spring, a day symbolizing new beginnings, a reflection of the warmth and love she brought to everyone she met.
Gail’s greatest joy came from the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren, Michael and Molly. To them, she was more than a grandmother—she was a guiding light, a constant source of love, and a model of kindness and grace.
Her funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 7:30 – 10:30 AM from the George C. Lima Funeral Home, 367 High Street, with a Mass of Christian Burial, 11 AM at St. Elizabeth’s Church, 577 Wood Street. Burial will follow in North Burial Ground.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: East Bay Food Pantry, 532 Wood Street, Bristol, RI 02809; OR to Friends of St. Elizabeth’s, 577 Wood Street, Bristol, RI 02809.
