Gil T. Andrade, 86, of Hope Street, passed away on February 10, 2025, at Heatherwood Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center. He was the husband of the late Maria Jose (Dias) Andrade.
Born in St. Michael, Azores, he was the son of Gil and Maria (dos Anjos) Tavares-Teles. He is survived by his children: Joe (Lisa) Andrade of Portsmouth, Mario (Bonnie) Andrade of Portsmouth, Maria Fatima Garies of Bristol, and Lucy (Daniel) Budzynski of Hudson, FL; grandchildren: Eric, Brittany, Kyle, Morgan, Madison, Michael, Adam, and Evan; and great-grandchildren: Dominic, Vita, Emilia, and Camilla.
Gil was one of eight siblings.
Mr. Andrade was educated in Portugal. He was employed as a machine operator for Bird and Sun for 15 years, then later at Hasbro, Inc. before retiring. He enjoyed trying various foods, watching sports and wrestling at home, and was a devout catholic.
His funeral services are private.
