Henrique Pereira DaSilva, 100, of Ryan Avenue passed away on March 8, 2023 at Crestwood Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.  He was the husband of the late Noemia (Mendonca) DaSilva.  

Born in Cascalho, Faial Azores, he was the son of the late Jose and Rosa DaSilva.  He is survived by his children Cidalia Harper and her husband Robert, Carlos DaSilva and his wife Mary, Joseph DaSilva and his wife Patricia; grandchildren Alyson Harper, Justin (Erica) Harper, Evan DaSilva, Andrew (Kathleen) DaSilva, Peter (Nicole) DaSilva, Kristen (Andrew) Torrico and great grandchildren Gabriel Ferreria, Josie Harper and Ava Torrico.  He was brother of the late Jose DaSilva, Manuel DaSilva,Francisco DaSilva, Joao DaSilva,  Domingos DaSilva, Augusto DaSilva, Antonio DaSilva, Maria DaSilva, Filomena DaSilva, Rosalinda DaSilva and Emilia Gomes.

Mr. DaSilva was educated in Portugal and employed by Pearson Yachts for 27 years before retiring. He enjoyed gardening and was very proud of his fig tree as well as grafting trees to share with others.  He loved making and drinking his own wine.

His funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 14th, 10 AM from the George Lima Funeral Home, 367 High Street with a Mass of Christian Burial, 11 AM at St. Elizabeth’s Church, 577 Wood Street. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
