Hilda (Cabral) Borges

Hilda (Cabral) Borges, 94 passed away on April 17, 2020 at Grace Barker Nursing Center. She was the wife of the late Jose Carvalho Borges.  

Born in Furnas, Sao Miguel, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Zulmira (Furtado) Cabral.  She is survived by her children Carlos (Mary) Borges of Little Compton, Joe (Mary) Borges of Johnston, Anna (Serafim) Costa of Somerset, Laudalina (George) Silva of Fall River, Lucy (John) Simas of Fall River, James (Julie) Borges of Bristol, Mario (Maryanne) Borges of Foster, Gualberto (Lori) Borges of Bristol and  Zulmira (the Late) Paul Verissimo of Warren; grandchildren Ronnie Borges, Paul Borges, Joey Borges, Andy Borges, Jason Borges, Andrew Vigeant, Brianne Flanagan, Melissa Camara, Calvin Silva, Shawn Silva, Peter Simas, Justin Simas, Matthew Borges, Jared McRoberts, Christopher Borges, Nicholas Borges, Ashley Preite, Joshua Martin, Richie Walker, Katelyn Verissimo, Paul Verissimo, and great grandchildren Alexis Borges, Joey Borges, Michael Borges, Andrew Vigeant, Austin Vigeant, Olivia Flanagan, Jacob Flanagan, Nora Rayne, Madison Pimental, Colin Silva, Sofia Silva, Xiomara Simas, Kaiya Borges, Meisha Borges. Hilda was the sister of Laura Pimentel and Valdmira Robbins both of Bristol and the late James, Manuel, Norbert, Anna Cabral and Eduarda Sousa.

Mrs. Borges was educated in Portugal and spent her life caring for her husband, children and grandchildren. 

Her funeral services will be held when a celebration of her life can be shared with family and friends at St. Elizabeth Church.
