Joao D. Da Silva, 64, of Sowams Drive, passed away on November 16, 2024, at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the husband of Deborah (Ribeiro) Da Silva.
Born in Laval, Canada, he was the son of Joao F. and Albertina (Melo) Da Silva. In addition to his wife, he is survived by: his daughter Kristine Da Silva of Bristol; his aunt Maria da Conceicao of Bristol; and his cousins Celina Pereira of Canada, and Patricia Rodrigues of Bristol.
He was predeceased by: his brother Victor Da Silva, and aunt Ilda Vieira.
Mr. Da Silva attended St. Elizabeth’s School in Bristol and graduated from Our Lady of Providence High School in Providence, RI. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut. He was self-employed as an accountant for 44 years before retiring.
His funeral services will be held on Friday, November 22, 8 – 10 AM from the George C. Lima Funeral Home, 367 High Street, followed by a prayer service at the George C. Lima Funeral Home at 10 AM. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
