Joe Leal Costa

Joe Leal Costa, 69, of Oliver Street passed away on August 29, 2019. He was the husband of Cecilia (Simoes) Costa.  

Born in Porto Judeu, Terceira, Azores, he was the son of the late Jose Nunes Costa and Maria Leal (Castro) Costa.  He is survived by his children Joe Costa, Steve Costa, Eduina Fortin and her husband Nick all of Bristol, Joel Costa and Jonathan Costa of Tulare, CA; grandchildren;Crystal Costa, Tifffany Costa, Joseph Costa, Fiona Costa, Maya Costa, Domenic Gemelli, Victoria Fortin, Jacob Costa, Landon Costa, Faith Costa and great grandchildren Kayleigh Shepard, Carson Zina, Julian Zina and Melody Tatro.  He was the father of the late Albertina Maria Costa .

Mr. Costa was educated in Portugal and employed as a machine operator for IUOE Local 57.

His funeral services will be held Saturday, September 7th, 10 AM from the George Lima Funeral Home 367 High Street with a Mass of Christian Burial, 11 AM at St. Elizabeth’s Church 577 Wood Street. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
