John M. Da Silva, 55, of Providence, passed away on March 5th, 2023 at HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice.

Born in Relva, São Miguel, Azores, he was the son of the late Hermano and Maria Encarnocao (Cabral) Da Silva. He is survived by his siblings Benjamin (Isabel) Da Silva, Armando (Mary Jo) Da Silva  Maria (Tony) Rebello, Ida (Carlos) Vieira, Helen (Gary Stanzione) Da Silva, and Carlos Da Silva.  He was the uncle of Erica Da Silva, Jennie Da Silva, Emily Da Silva, Armando Da Silva Jr.,  Allison Da Silva, Victoria Stanzione, Marissa Stanzione, Aristina Stanzione, Crystal Rebello, Fatima Rebello, Nakisha Nary, Daniela Da Siva, Catia Vieira, Carlos DaSilva Jr., Michelle Siamo, Joe Siamo and the late Eric Pires.

 Mr. Da Silva was educated in Bristol and was self-employed as a roofing contractor for 20 years.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday, March 8th, 9 – 10:30 AM at the George Lima Funeral Home, 367 High Street with a Mass of Christian Burial, 11 AM at St. Elizabeth’s Church, 577 Wood Street.  Burial will be private.
