John Edward Reynolds Jr, 68, of Wood Street passed away on January 9, 2019 at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the husband of Sharon (Josephs) Reynolds.
Born in West Warwick, he was the son of the late John and Elsie (Dorothy) Reynolds. In addition to his wife Sharon, he is survived by his daughter Kelly Medeiros and her husband Luis; grandson Jared Medeiros; sister Joann Thornber and her husband Keith: uncle Earl Branch and his wife Suzanne as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was the brother of the late Willis Reynolds.
Mr. Reynolds was a graduate of Coventry High School and served as a Corporal in USMC during the Vietnam War. He received a Masters of Education degree from Rhode Island College and was a teacher for the Bristol School Department as well as the Bristol Warren Regional School District before retiring. He was dedicated to his family, enjoyed vacationing and playing golf. His most important role was as a coach for his grandson.
His funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 15th, 9 AM from the George Lima Funeral Home 367 High Street with a Mass of Christian Burial, 10 AM at St. Mary’s Church 330 Wood Street. Burial will follow in North Burial Ground.
