John Joseph Rocha, 78, of Ridge Road passed away May 21, 2022, at Miriam Hospital. He was the husband of Rosemary (Santos) Rocha.
Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late John and Florence (Ferreira) Rocha. He is survived by his children: Nicholas J. Rocha of Bristol; Marc A. Rocha of Bristol; and Jeffrey Rocha of Texas. He was the brother of Joann Raposa and Jill Biello.
Mr. Rocha was a graduate of Tiverton High School, and served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Operating Engineers Local 57, where he worked as a heavy equipment operator for Roc Construction, Dobrindia Construction, and R. Fryzel & Sons Builders. He enjoyed fishing with his sons on his boat and entertaining friends and family. He was famous for his clam boil during the Bristol Fourth of July celebration.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, Wednesday, May 25th, 10 AM at St. Mary’s Church 330 Wood Street. Burial will follow at the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
