John D. Silva

John D. Silva, 82, of Hope Street, passed away on March 9, 2026, at HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center. He was the husband of Maria Odilia (Sousa) Silva.

Born in St. Michael, Azores, Portugal, he was the son of the late Jose M. and Evangelina (Duarte) Silva. In addition to his wife, he is survived by: his daughters Diane Silva of Bristol, and Mitchell Silva of Johnston; grandchildren: Jasmine Miller, Christian Torres, Dante Silva, and Davon Silva; great-grandchildren: Elijah, Ellani, and Malia; sister Connie Medeiros of Canada; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his sister, Neves Cabral.

Mr. Silva attended school in Portugal. He was employed as a foreman for American Slater in Pawtucket for over 40 years before retiring.

His funeral services are private.
