Jose Simoes Costa, 50, of Oliver Street passed away on September 20, 2022 at Silver Creek Nursing & Rehab.  He was the husband of the late Jenna (Felix) Costa.  

Born in Hanford, CA, he was the son of Cecilia (Simoes) Costa and the late Jose Leal Costa.  He is survived by his children: Crystal Zina and her husband Joshua; Tiffany Tatro and her husband David; Joseph Costa and was the grandfather of Kayleigh Shepard, Carson Zina, Julian Zina, Melody Tatro and David Tatro.  He was the brother of Steve Costa, Edvina Fortin, Joel Costa, Jonathan Costa and the late Albertina Costa.

Mr. Costa was educated in Bristol and a self employed contractor for the past five years.  He previously worked as a heavy equipment operator for the Local 37.  

Calling hours will be held Tuesday, September 27th, 8:30 – 10:30 AM at the George Lima Funeral Home, 367 High Street followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 11 AM at St. Elizabeth’s Church, 577 Wood Street. Burial will be private.
