Jose Manuel Cordeiro, 80, of Andrews Court passed away on January 23, 2023 at his home. He was the husband of the late Etelvina (Franco) Cordeiro.
Born in Fenais da Luz, Sao Miguel, Acores, he was the son of the late Jose Vincente Cordeiro and Maria dos Santos (Cabral) Cordeiro. He was educated in Portugal and employed by Iannaciullo Construction for 6 years as well as C. Brito Construction for 17 years before retiring. He was a member of The Holy Ghost Committee serving as Mordomo in the year 2000.
Mr. Cordeiro is survived by his children Richard Cordeiro and his wife Cheryl; Germana Branco and her husband Manuel; Rosa Soares (the late John Soares) and many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was the father of the late George Braz (Hilda).
Calling hours are Friday, January 27th , 8:30 – 10:30 AM at the George Lima Funeral Home, 367 High Street with a Mass of Christian Burial, 11 AM at St. Elizabeth Church, 577 Wood Street. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bristol.
