Jose daMota Salema, 86, of DeWolf Avenue, passed away on November 7, 2024, at Silver Creek Manor. He was the husband of the late Maria Manuela (Gois Ferreira) Salema. 

Born in Villa Franca do Campo, St. Michael, Azores, he was the son of the late Antonio and Maria (do Carmo Salema) da Mota. He is survived by: his sisters Maria dos Anjos Carvalho of Weymouth, MA, and Maria Natalia (Antonio) Andrade of Osterville, MA; many nieces and nephews; and his caregiver of many years, Lucy Goncalves of Bristol, RI.

He was predeceased by his siblings: Joao da Mota and Maria do Carmo Cadette.

Mr. Salema was educated in Portugal. He was a franchisee who owned Dunkin’ Donuts locations before retiring. 

Friends and family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, November 12, 11 AM at St. Elizabeth’s Church, 577 Wood Street. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
