Jose C. Vieira, Sr., 63, of Warren, passed away on February 20, 2025, at home surrounded by his loved ones. He was the husband of Maria (Cunha) Vieira. 

Born in St. Michael, Azores, he was the son of Jose M. and Maria Albertina (Furtado) Vieira. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Elisabete (Bruno Goncalves) Vieira of Warren, Tina (Danny) Cardoso of Bristol, Patricia (Peter) Beaupre of Portage Lake, ME, Joe Vieira, Jr., of Portugal, Goretti (Joseph) Teixeira of Warren, and Ashley (fiancé Brian Knodel) Vieira of Warren; grandchildren: Angel Larson, Jasmin Almeida, Emily Demelo, Angelica Vieira, Kimberly Vieira, Carlos Correia, Aaliyah Vieira, Katie Vieira, Julian Vieira, Bentley Vieira, Aubrey Medeiros, Ava Teixeira, Ella Teixeira, Alyana Vieira, and Noah Knodel; great-grandchildren: Mason Almeida, Addison Almeida; Layla Larson, and Xavion Rivera; and daughter-in-law Lynsey Medeiros of Somerset.

He is also survived by his siblings: Filomena (the late John) Machado of Warren, John (Etelvina) Vieira of Bristol, Gorette (Billy) Goncalves of Bristol, Jaime (Sandra) Vieira of Bristol, Tony (Linda) Vieira of Bristol, Lucy (the late Fernando) Goncalves of Bristol, Ines (Raul Cuque) Vieira of East Providence, Mario (Sandy) Vieira of Warren, and Frank (Sandra) Vieira of Swansea.

Mr. Vieira was predeceased by his parents Jose and Maria Vieira; son Jimmy Vieira; grandson Alex Correira; and nephew Jeffrey Vieira.

He was educated in Portugal. Mr. Vieira had a passion for his farm animals and his big gardens. He helped deliver donuts for Sip n Dip Donuts in his later years after retirement. He was a family-oriented man, and a hard worker.

His funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 8 – 10:30 AM from the George C. Lima Funeral Home, 367 High Street, with a Mass of Christian Burial, 11 AM at St. Elizabeth’s Church, 577 Wood Street. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
