Joseph B. Costa, 76, of Bristol and formerly Pawtucket, RI and Quincy, MA passed away on August 28, 2021 at Rhode Island Hospital with his loving family by his side.
Born in Fall River, MA, he was the son of the late Angelina (Costa) and Manuel Costa, Jr. He was the brother of Julie Heath and her companion John Charpentier of Cranston, RI; Richard Costa of Bristol, RI; and David Costa of Riverside, RI. Joe was the loving uncle of Audra and Rachel Costa. He was predeceased by his brother in law Everett Heath and sisters in law Marilyn Costa and Evelyn Roberts.
Joe served honorably in the US Air Force. He worked at Massachusetts General Hospital as a unit coordinator for over 30 years. He also worked for the Shriners Burn Institute.
Calling hours will be held Friday, September 3rd, 9:30 – 10:30 AM at the George Lima Funeral Home, 367 High Street with a Mass of Christian Burial, 11 AM at St. Elizabeth’s Church, 577 Wood Street. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
