Joseph Medeiros Sousa

Joseph Medeiros Sousa, 91, of Metacom Avenue passed away on October 13, 2019 at Grace Barker Health Center. He was the husband of Anna Marie (Fernandes) Sousa.  

Born in Cambridge, MA, he was the son of the late John and Mary (Estrella) Sousa.  In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter Karen Sousa Mello; grandson Brandon Mello and great grandchildren Brett Mello and Austin Mello.  He was the brother of John Sousa, Elsie Correia and the late Almerinda Coute and Mary Silva.

Mr. Sousa was employed by the Town of Bristol before retiring.  

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, Thursday, November 21st, 11 AM at St. Elizabeth’s Church 577 Wood Street. Burial will follow in the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
