Josephine E Costa

Josephine E. Costa, 91, formerly of Metacom Avenue, Bristol, passed away on September 13, 2024, at Crestwood Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Norbert R. Costa.

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Frances (Garcia) Goulart. She is survived by: her daughter Cynthia (Jerry) Cadile of Warren; grandchildren Kristen (Joseph) Borgia of Stratford, CT, and Corey Cadile of Riverside; and great-grandchildren Allie Borgia, Jillian Borgia, and Hailey Borgia.

She was predeceased by her sister, Frances Sousa.

Josephine was a 1950 class graduate of Colt Memorial High School. She was employed as a hairdresser at Laurie Ellen Beauty Salon for 30 years before retiring. Josephine was in a bowling league at Dudek Lanes’. She enjoyed line dancing at the Warren Senior Center, playing cards, crossword puzzles, and spending time with her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will be greatly missed.

Her funeral services will be held on Friday, September 20, 9 – 10:30 AM from the George C. Lima Funeral Home, 367 High Street, with a Mass of Christian Burial, 11 AM at St. Elizabeth’s Church, 577 Wood Street. Burial will follow at the North Burial Ground.
